🇬🇧🎙️When words lose their connection to reality: The importance of Universals
In this fourth episode of “A Healthy Reason for a Strong Faith” Series we analyse the importance of words and their necessary connection to reality. Words are signs: they point us to a meaning beyond them and require a clear bond with reality to be significant. The crux of the matter is the problem of the Universals, i.e., that which can be attribute to many things. The denial of universal essences as real, so as to reduce them to only sounds for a mere communication sake, can only lead to subjectivism. This is deleterious. In turn, the State, the Police, or a powerful political group, will decide what (new) meaning words should have. Precisely what happens today in our society, where culture is influenced by controlling the language.

C’è UN SOLO MODO per accedere a Dio
È il Cuore aperto di Cristo sulla Croce che ci dà accesso al Padre. Se il suo Cuore non fosse aperto dal “vulnus” del suo Amore, non potremmo entrare nel mistero. Fu dunque provvidenziale che il Figlio morisse per noi sulla Croce e che il suo cuore venisse squarciato, quale segno del suo amore fino alla fine. Quel Cuore fu aperto, spiega San Bonaventura (in “La Vite mistica”, cap. 3) perché attraverso la ferita visibile nel suo corpo noi vedessimo la ferita dell’amore. Uno che ama ardentemente è anche ferito dall’amore. La ferita della carne rivela la ferita dello spirito. Il Dottore Serafico legge il Cantico dei Cantici: «Mi hai ferito il cuore sorella mia sposa, mi hai ferito il cuore» (4,9) in modo cristologico, mariologico ed ecclesiologico. Cristo è ferito per la Chiesa sua sposa, ma ancor prima dall’amore per sua Madre, la Nuova Eva, inizio immacolato della Chiesa.
